Claire & Naomi

These two girls are near to my heart not only because they are my nieces but because they are so full of life. Two girls that seem so different yet the same in their fun loving ways. Claire is a little more mild where Naomi is full throttle. I love being around their two different personalities, it reminds me of my sisters and I growing up. (yes I know Heidi and Jill, me being the full throttle type)
Thanks to my sister inlaw and brother inlaw for having me and the kids over, we had a great time.
enjoy,

kitties to give away TO A GOOD HOME!

What a family of kitties we have here at the farm. Back in June we got two kittens from a neighbor and he also brought the mama kitty with to make the babies more comfortable. Well a couple weeks ago she had another batch of kittens, this time 6 babies! Needless to say we have a few kittens to give away. Don't tell my daughter, she thinks they are all hers (to tell the truth I'm not excited to give them away either but 9 cats is alot plus Percy, our house cat.) . I am pretty sure they will all be very tame by the time they are ready to leave mama kitty, Hadley has them wrapped in towels carry them around. If you or anyone you know wants a cute little grey and white kitty give me a call. You might have to come with prefrences to give Hadley.

The Koch's..family portraits

I could start at the beginning of time with this family. Amanda and I are first cousins and we have many many memories growing up. She is the most sincere and passionate person with a heart of gold to go with it. Daryl, her husband makes you feel calm just being around him. I have always admired their relationship, it's happens so effortlessly. The boys, Dawson and Carter, are boys to the core and I loved the time I got to spend with them. These two boys are going to have many adventures and treasured memories as they grow together.
A van load of my family, my mom and dad, sister and her two boys, myself and my two kids. I told you, a van LOAD headed to Wynyard on Sat. what was to be a simple photo shoot for Amanda. What she didn't know was more importantly a surprise celebration for her turning 30. She thought we were headed home after a quick visit after the photo shoot was over but we headed up the street about 3 houses and awaited her arrival. There were tears and laughter as she walked in to see tonnes of people. It was so great to meet so many people who feel the same way as my family does about Amanda. The last photo is of Amanda and her birthday cake which was created by her sister, the ultimately talented Sara. Sara owns a hair salon in Regina called Wired, so if you're looking for a fresh new look give her a call. I told her she could be busy making wedding cakes on the side, the cake was amazing to look at but even better tasting.
Thank you everyone that was involved with the party, we had a grand time.
To Amanda... Love ya and your beautiful family!

if you knew me at all there was no harm done to this frog, just it's portrait.

Alison, Darryl and Katelyn..engagement

This engagement session was a great way to get to know Darryl, Alison and their ever so camera shy, Katelyn. Her instant comment of "take picture of me" was my first indication of how this shoot was going to go. Katelyn called me auntie for the entire time which I absolutely loved and hoped it meant she was comfortable around me. Alison told me she is a daddy's girl but I think it was quite apparent she has enough love for both of them.
Darryl is from Newfoundland and Alison from good old Saskatchewan so they have the whole lighthouse/tractor theme for their wedding. They were telling me some of the details for the wedding and I am so excited to be able to be part of it all, It will be quite a celebration.
Thanks to the talented Karen of Heavens' Touch Photography for sending them my way. (click here to check out Karen's blog)
Thanks for a wonderful afternoon and looking forward to Oct. 6, see ya then.
enjoy,
Paula

this little girl will be an actress, just wait and see.

Hadley turned 5

It has sadly happened, for me anyways. My daughter turned 5 in August. Well ya'll know what the means....KINDERGARTEN. One part of me is sad that the time has gone by so fast but the other part of me is so excited for her to be going to school. The only thing that is worrying her is that she doesn't know how to read yet. I told her she probably won't be the only one in Kindergarten that won't be able to read. None the less, she keeps practicing all her letters and what they say. Hopefully the enthusiasm will continue.
We threw a little tea party with 9 little ladies at 11am. I must say they truely were very well behaved individuals. After the girlies left some friends and family came over for supper and cake and it all ended at 11pm. Hadley had a great time and as always was sad to see everyone go home.
Thanks to everyone who helped us celebrate!

Check out the finger nails!(it all came as a set...can ya tell;-))

have you noticed in just about every pic Hadley has something different on, no wonder my laundry pile is so high!

Cameron, Nolan and Maguire Blair

I first met Cameron and Nolan when they were 2 and 1 years old. As you can see they have grown a little since then. I am glad to say I've known Maguire, the youngest, his whole life. These boys hold a special place in my families hearts. Calla, their mom, can't come over for a visit by herself without my oldest asking her where the boys are. They are not only the nicest, polite boys but extremely good hockey players and excellent scholars.
They take pride in everything they do and do it well. I am so proud of these 3 and know they will be successful in anything they choose to do. Good luck in the upcoming hockey camps boys.
