Dale, Naomi, Kyle, Emma & Keagan

Love the 70's feel of this picture

what a smile

Go Riders Go

they even braved some awfully big spiders

Finally a day where it still felt like summer. It was such a nice evening to spend with this family, we toured around Lanigan a bit and stopped here and there for some family portraits. They were up for anything and so easy going about everything, even the giant spiders they stood under for me to get some photos. (these were honestly the biggest spiders I have ever seen).

Keagan, the youngest brother is doing his job well. Bugging his big sister!! And what a giggler! Emma is 11 (I think) going on 16, what a beautiful girl she is. Kyle, the oldest, just wants to be older and probably doesn't miss a Roughrider game if he can help it. Naomi and Dale are patient, kind parents and the kids love to be around them. Max, the family dog came along for the portraits. Even when he was supposed to sit on the sidelines and wait he would somehow sniff his way into the photo.

Thank you for letting me spend an evening with you all, it was great to get to know you better.

enjoy,
Paula

Helton & Randeem...engagement

Meet Randeem and Helton, soon to married in September. Needless to say I cannot wait to capture their wedding day. Randeem and I knew each other years ago in High School (good old BHHS). A few months ago I was in need of a hair do, I gave Ethos Salon & Spa in Saskatoon a call and the voice on the other end says yes Randeem can do your hair at 9:30. Thinking to myself, Randeem... how many Randeem's can their be..it must be her. Well it was and the voice on the other end of the phone was another BHHS school mate...Holly. Well all of you from our old high school will remember these two, they were the best of friends and it was so great to see their friendship as strong as ever. Of course you will get to see pics of Holly, she will be the Maid of Honor. Speaking of friendships, it was quite apparent the closeness Randeem and Helton share. They have been together for 7 1/2 years and you would think it has been only 1. The freshness of their relationship was so nice to be around and the connection they have is unbreakable. They brought along their 3 babies and like kids as soon as they hit the open field they were so playful. They made their presents known with endless kisses not only for Randeem and Helton but for me as well while I got down low for some shots. It was a blast to have them there. Even when we were taking some soft, serious shots their youngest decided it was time to give Randeem a kiss. Helton is a big part of the retriever club out of saskatoon, to check that out click here.

The location of our shoot will also be where Helton and Randeem will exchange their vows. To check it out click here. I am trying to think of an excuse to have a party so I can have it there.

Hope you enjoy their pics and the fairytale will be continued.

Nic, Amanda & Dayden...Wedding Day

You may remember this couple from their engagement photos I did awhile ago. I knew their wedding day would be a grand occasion and it was. They were married in Amanda's parents backyard, which was a vision of beauty. The endless hours spent to get it ready and keep it beautiful in the heat was well worth the effort of many.

Nic and Amanda were so relaxed after the ceremony and just happy to be with each other finally. Amanda's mom made a comment to me during the day of "Amanda and Nic need each other, they balance each other out." What a great reason to spend the rest of your lives together and raise their son. Who I might add, kept everyone laughing throughout the photo session.

It was quite apparent everyone blessed this marriage with all their hearts and just happy to be a part of it. Including me, thanks Nic, Amanda and Dayden for letting me share in your day.

Ian,Thekla & Brayden...maternity

The time I got to spend with this growing family was a day that I will never forget. The love and respect Ian and Thekla share is amazing. The job in raising a child together is not an easy one but can be the most rewarding thing a person can accomplish. The job these two have done with Brayden is a very successful one. Brayden defines Happy and you cannot feel anything but when you are around him. He enjoyed getting his picture taken but not as much as I did taking them. I know he will be a very caring big brother to the new baby that will be here any day.

Thank you to the Nivon's for letting me spend the morning with you, we waited out the rain and it was well worth it.
Take life by the hand and live it!
