Natasha, MacKenzie & Brayden..family

Being around Natasha again brought back so many memories of our school days and how laid back and free of worry we once were. Natasha still has that great smile she always had and a warm heart. She has raised two of the coolest kids. MacKenzie, oh so camera shy (yeah right), She loved getting her photo taken just about as much as I did taking it. BraYden, the look in his eyes tells you everything. He made me giggle. At the end of the shoot he looked at me and said "I'm Done!" We all met up in Humbolt where Natasha's mom and dad live and so I had the privilege of snapping a few of them as well. Thank you Natasha, it was so great to see you again..keep in touch.

The Macleod's...family

This was a great family to spend some time with. I knew Lesliann and Bryce back in high school and I think I can remember when the news went around that they were dating. And just a few years later..well they have been busy! 4 awesome kids, all with their own personalities. This family reminded me how great it is to be surrounded by people you love.
Thanks for the opportunity guys, I had a wonderful time.

The Lee's...family

It was so great to see the Lee's on my visit to Calgary a few weeks ago. Marnie (mom) is my cousin, growing up her family and mine were very close. They all live in Alberta now so our get togethers are sadly, few and far between. My sister now lives in Calgary so she was along for our photo shoot. She was the greatest assistant I could have had, she kept everyone laughing including the people who passed by with her crazy antics of jumping around and singing. Mckenna and Adam were utterly sweet and always happy. Thank you Marnie, Manfred, McKenna and Adam for the time we got spend together.

Kyla..the dancing queen

In my last post I said we had a mini shoot with Kyla who is very involved in Dance. As a parent it is always nice to see a child take part in an extracurricular activity but to see them excel in it is amazing. This pertains to Kyla, since she started 8 years ago she has received many awards and has a passion to dance. Kyla could have done this all day and if I didn't have to get to another photo shoot I could have too. Watching her leap into the air so effortlessly was unbelievable. These are just a few of my fav's, I know she will be more concerned about her technique in each shot. When we started doing the jumps her first question was "were my toes pointed?" Our dance club in Lanigan is full of amazing dancers and volunteers who put in endless hours with little thanks. So thank you to people like Kyla for being great role models for the younger dancers and to all the volunteers who make it easier for us new dance mom's.

Shane, Trisha, Kyla & Kalen...family

This was a beautiful fall day a couple of weeks ago and I had a great time with this family. I have known them for quite a few years now and it was wonderful to be around them. We had many laughs touring around Drake, SK and we ended the session with another mini session of just Kyla in her dance gear so stay tuned for that.

Eric, Melissa, Brynn & Ty...family

This is a wonderful family, one that is very close to my heart. Melissa and Eric will give you the shirt off their backs and never ask for it back. Brynn and Ty are loving, kind kids who I adore. My kids have spent quite a few hours at their house and have loved every minute of it. I had the privilege of snapping a few photos of them a couple weeks back and treasure the time we got to spend together. I admire Eric and Melissa for being so strongly united and producing a family atmosphere that has raised two wonderful kids who I will enjoy watching grow.

Darren & Angela...engagement

Darren and Angela..what a fun couple. I had a great time getting to know these two and touring Lanigan with them and their massive dog, Brady. Darren was a little uncomfortable about this whole picture taking process and getting splashed across the web but you would never know it in the photos and.. well... Angela is a classic beauty with a sweet aura about her. They were up for anything, even some leaping action that I have seen done on many photography sites and had to try it.
Can't wait until next June for the wedding, thanks Darren and Angela for the great afternoon.
