My favorite little souls!

What a beautiful day.....a day spent with my two most favorite people!
Hadley told me the other day that I love Tate more than I love her. I am sure every mother has heard this comment from one of her children and I am pretty sure I will hear it from Tate one day. It made me think that you don't actually believe that a mother can love all her children the same amount until you have children.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year, we just got back from my mom and dad's farm yesterday. Our time was spent on the sleigh behind the horses, hockey games outside, playstation WII (which we are all now addicted too), tonnes of music, solving world problems (late at night), and great food (thanks mom).

It now seems so quiet and lonely. My oldest wasn't up for more than an hour this morning and she said she was bored. Just a few more days and school will start and the holidays will officially be over. So sad it seems like forever to get here and then goes by so fast.

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and the best to each and everyone in 2008.

A celebration of 68 years

These two lovely people are my grandparents who I admire with all my heart. Today is their 68th wedding anniversary and I know in those 68 years they have not spent many days or nights apart. Until recently Papa had to move to a seperate care home because his level of care was higher than that of Gramma's. Gramma couldn't go because...well she is just too darn healthy (at 94 years of age). I can't describe my anger and disappointment in our government about this subject. After 68 years of marriage they were told they couldn't live together anymore. Papa's memory lies in the hands of Gramma and without her with him he forgets things in the matter of a second. In order to be together they had to move to another town nearby to a facility that had two seperate rooms for them. 68 years of marriage should be a celebration and illegal to seperate two people that share the love for one another that these two do. The best news I got this year was when my mom called and said they were moving Papa and Gramma to Kinistino so they would be together and when they did mom said Papa wouldn't let "Ma" out of his sight and had a hand on her knee the whole day. It made me smile!
Congratulations on your 68th wedding anniversary Papa and Big Gramma, I love you both!

May your Holidays be Merry and Bright!

Merry Christmas to everyone and a big thank you to all my clients who have made my job so enjoyable. I look forward to the year ahead and am thankful for everyone in my life. These photos were taken last year of my mom and dad's horses. I can't wait to get there for a sleigh ride but most of all to see my WHOLE family which will actually be all together this year :-)
Hope Santa finds you all!

Ian,Thekla, Brayden and now Nia....family

It doesn't seem that long ago when Nia was a just a round belly of mystery. Now she has entered this crazy world and she is the most beautiful little princess with the bluest eyes I've ever seen. If you follow my blog you will remember this family from their maternity shoot. It was so great to be with them again and Brayden is still the sweetest little guy and the greatest Big brother. Thanks again for welcoming me into your home, your pictures show just how close and loving you all are.
enjoy,
Paula

Ryan, Nicola and Olivia....family

My travels took me to Wynyard today to meet with this beautiful family. Olivia to say the least is a pure angel. She is the warmest little soul and the love she exudes is amazing. I had a great time following her around her home capturing moments that can now last a life time. Nicola and Ryan are so easy to be around and such great parents to Olivia. It shows in Olivia's love of people and her happiness.
Thanks for having me into your home, keep in touch.

Kevin, Carla & Kyler...Family

Yet another sweet little man to capture, Kyler is approaching the 2 month mark. Already so bright eyed and curious about his world around him. I was lucky to join this family today and capture some memories of Kyler and his mom and dad. Carla and Kevin are in the process of building a new home and they are staying with Carla's parents until it is finished. What a great team they all are and all for this little life that has so much love surrounding him. He was quite a trooper, going through wardrobe changes and some dirty diapers he never missed a beat when the camera started snapping. Thank you for having me over today, it was such a pleasure.
