The Lucas's

Thank you to the Lucas family for the chance to spend time with such an amazing bunch. From the time I arrived at their town home in Imperial from the time I left their unique and awesome farm I felt like part of the family. Eugene and Leegay, aka mom and dad, were celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary and all their kids organized a family photo shoot. We toured around town for some shots then it was off to the farm. This farm has so much love that you can't feel anything but happiness when you are there. The Lucas family is spread out over Saskatchewan and into Alberta but you would never guess by the closeness this family exudes. We had lots of action from flying airplanes to launching rockets, the fun didn't stop. The pic of the bracelet is the creation of Jolene who owns JoJo Beads. She makes her own glass beads then puts them into a bracelet, necklace, earring, ring etc. design. They are so beautiful and as soon as I find her website address I will post it.
Thanks Eugene, Leegay, Aaron, Brian, Rheann, Braiden, Kennedy, Kelly, Sheri, Jolene and Craig. (I hope I didn't miss spell anyone). I had an absolute blast and I hope to keep in touch.

the last shot is of the top of one of Leegay's gates that she collects, I thought it fit the theme of the party well :-}

Heading to High School

This is Alex, can you believe she is only going into grade 9!! She graduated from Drake last Friday and will be heading to high school in Lanigan this fall. As you can see Alex is simply GORGEOUS but not just a pretty face. Alex is on the honor roll at school, plays hockey, fast ball, along with many other sports and likes to hunt with her dad (who just got in from the field and didn't make it out for pics, getcha next time Trev.) She is the second oldest in a family of 4 kids who are all kind, wonderful individuals (Brittany, Colten and Katelyn). I had an absolute blast photographing this family, Jean (mom) keeps her yard in immaculate shape so it was nice to wonder around and stop here and there for some pics.
Thanks to the Blair crew, it is always nice to spend time with you all.
Hopefully none of the boys from Brittany's class see this. They kept asking her if her little sister was coming to high school in fall and her reply was always,"no my little sister is going into grade 2" which Katelyn is.
enjoy,
Paula

Becky & Andrew . Engagement

I finally got to meet Becky and Andrew today, their wedding is coming up in August. With my wedding package I include an engagement photo session so I can get to know the couple and have a better understanding of what the are looking for in the photos of their big day. I am so thankful that I got Becky and Andrew for my first engagement shoot. They were up for anything and so in love. We trecked across Lanigan on a super hot day, poor Andrew had a migrane but not one complaint from him (as you can see from some of the smooching pics). I love this couple and can't wait until their wedding day.

Thanks Becky and Andrew!

enjoy,

Paula
